A strong blue light, this lamp is designed to bring out bold coral colors. Reef keepers commonly mix a Blue Depth lamp with Blue Balance or Blue Growth lamps to get the best of coral growth and coral coloration. Colorful Montipora “sps” corals and large polyped stonies, such as red brain or bright green Hammer corals, look best under Blue Depth.
